Register and confirm your intention to commence towards the Silver level by confirming to the Social Value Quality Mark team via info@socialvaluequalitymark.com

Select three of your preferred ‘week commencing’ dates for the stakeholder engagement phase of the audit.

Download a copy of the current version of the Silver level audit questions to assist in your presentation.

Consider having a Pre Audit. The pre-audit will review your organisation against all of the mandatory questions and main categories and highlight any areas of material failure.

75 Days

You will be allocated your Social Value Quality Mark auditor, who will contact you and discuss the audit process in detail and answer any questions that you may have.

60 Days

A copy of your audit questions will be sent to you from the SVQM email.

Commence uploading your evidence into their private SharePoint folder, using the evidence example document as guidance.

30 Days

Stakeholders: Prepare your internal and external stakeholders for our audit team, who will then interview them. It is your responsibility to provide access to stakeholders who can support your application and audit.

14 Days

Provide all remaining document evidence and ensure it has been uploaded onto the Sharepoint site.

The stakeholder engagement schedule is to be finalised and agreed upon with your auditor.

10 Days

All documentary evidence will be reviewed by the audit team. They may contact you with any queries.

7 Days

The Senior Auditor will define if further information and data is required.

The outcome of the audit will be confirmed in writing and a copy of the audit report will be provided.

Your Senior Auditor will diarise a feedback call to discuss the findings, highlights and areas of weakness.

If Awarded

Once your application is successful, your award will be ordered and this typically takes 14-28 days. You’ll receive an Awardee pack to support you with marketing and communications. This contains approved messages for press releases, guidance on using the SVQM logos and assets for use on social media.

Your organisation’s logo will be added to our Directory. You’ll be invited to join our Value Community, a cross-sector forum of experienced, like-minded professionals which facilitates peer-to-peer knowledge share, collaboration and innovation. You’ll also receive entry to the National Index of Social Value.

If Unsuccessful

Reauditing is possible after a minimum of 3 months, depending on the gaps in your evidence. You will need to allow sufficient time to take remedial action. SVQM CIC applies a reduced fee based on the time needed to re-audit this evidence only.

If your Bronze award is due to lapse, it is possible to arrange a short extension to cover this time period. You may also choose not to pursue accreditation and in this event we ask that you remove SVQM image assets and references from your organisational marketing.
