- Our Organisation
Social Value Quality Mark CIC is a UK-based Social Enterprise providing social value advisory and accreditation services to clients across the public, private, and voluntary sectors. Our services primarily include audit and validation.
Our operations are office-based and knowledge-led. Our supply chains are relatively limited and typically include professional services, IT providers, office services, and other business support services.
We recognise our responsibility to take steps to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking do not occur in our operations or supply chains.
- Our Commitment
We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. We take a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking and aim to ensure that our business practices are consistent with the principles set out in the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
- Policies and Governance
As a small organisation, our policies and governance processes are proportionate to the scale and nature of our operations.
Relevant policies include:
- Ethical business conduct principles
- Responsible procurement practices
- Equal opportunities and fair treatment of staff
- Whistleblowing arrangements enabling staff and partners to raise concerns
These policies support our commitment to preventing exploitation, forced labour, and human trafficking.
- Risk Assessment
We assess the risk of modern slavery within our operations as low, due to the nature of our work as a professional consultancy and our small team structure.
Potential risks may arise within our supply chain, particularly through:
- IT and software suppliers
- External consultants and contractors
- Office and administrative service providers
We seek to work with reputable organisations that share similar ethical values and legal compliance standards.
- Due Diligence
We apply proportionate due diligence when engaging suppliers and partners. This includes:
- Selecting suppliers with established reputations and compliance with UK law
- Reviewing supplier policies where relevant
- Avoiding engagement with organisations where ethical concerns are identified
- Maintaining transparent contractual relationships with consultants and associates
Where appropriate, we will review supplier practices and raise concerns if risks relating to modern slavery are identified.
- Training and Awareness
Due to our small organisational size, formal training programmes are not currently required. However, we ensure that senior staff responsible for procurement and supplier engagement are aware of modern slavery risks and the importance of ethical supply chains.
We remain committed to increasing awareness within the organisation as part of our ongoing governance and compliance processes.
- Ongoing Commitment
We will continue to review our policies and practices to ensure they remain appropriate for our organisation and consistent with good practice in preventing modern slavery.
As our organisation grows, we will review our procedures to strengthen our approach to responsible procurement and supply chain management.
