The Honeypot Children’s Charity has strengthened its commitment to supporting children needing additional support across Hampshire after being awarded the Bronze Social Value Quality Mark.

From its Honeypot House in the New Forest, the charity provides residential breaks, health and wellbeing breaks and ongoing wraparound support for young carers and children aged 5–12 experiencing pressures at home or school.

The accreditation recognises organisations that demonstrate a clear commitment to creating positive social, environmental and economic impact. It is one of the most rigorously tested standards of its kind in the UK, independently assessing how organisations deliver meaningful benefits for communities, employees and the wider society.

To achieve the Bronze Quality Mark, Honeypot made a series of commitments to create, measure and independently report its social value. These pledges span skills development, wellbeing, investing in local communities, charitable giving and carbon reduction — reflecting the charity’s holistic approach to supporting children and strengthening communities.

Through its wrap-around model of support, Honeypot provides residential breaks, health and wellbeing programmes and ongoing pastoral support to young carers and children aged 5–12 experiencing pressures at home or school. The charity’s work focuses on early intervention, helping children build confidence, improve wellbeing and create positive childhood memories that support brighter futures.

Simmi Woodwal, Chief Executive of The Honeypot Children’s Charity, said:
“Achieving the Social Value Quality Mark is an important milestone for Honeypot and recognises the meaningful impact our teams deliver for children and families across Hampshire and England.  By supporting young carers and children facing difficult circumstances at an early stage, we help build confidence, improve wellbeing and create positive childhood memories – delivering lasting benefits not only for children, but for families, schools and wider communities. This accreditation strengthens our commitment to measuring the difference we make and expanding our reach so more children aged 5–12 can access the support they need, helping level the playing field and create brighter futures.”

Huw Evans, Director of Quality, Social Value Quality Mark CIC, said:
“We’re delighted to award Bronze to Honeypot Children’s Charity. Organisations are increasingly expected to demonstrate their positive impact to commissioners, funders and service users. The Quality Mark distinguishes and celebrates those businesses who are genuinely committed to making the world a fairer place. We are pleased that Honeypot is joining the growing number of organisations making this commitment.”

The Social Value Quality Mark places Honeypot among a forward-thinking group of organisations committed to delivering measurable social impact and sharing best practice. As an accredited organisation, Honeypot will continue to strengthen how it creates, measures and reports its social value, ensuring its support delivers meaningful outcomes for children, families and communities across the UK.
